Self Assessment Committee (SAC) of Department of Education, Uttara University organized a day-long workshop on “Classroom Performance and Evaluation in Education Department for Ensuring International Standard” on 5 August 2017 Saturday at the IQAC Seminar Hall of the university. The workshop started with an Inaugural session. Mr. Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul, President, Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ), graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Professor Dr. M. Azizur Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of Uttara University, Chaired the inaugural session. Professor Dr. Eaysmin Ara Lekha, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Uttara University was the Special Guest in the inaugural session and Professor Dr. Debi Narayan Rudra Paul, Director, IQAC of Uttara University was the Guest-of-Honor. Professor Taslima Begum, Chairperson, Department of Education, presented the keynote paper on “Education for International Understanding (EIU)”. She mentioned that there are four pillars of learning, such as learning to be, learning to know, learning to do, learning to live together. Ms. Dulali Rani Saha, Assistant professor & Head of the Self-Assessment Committee (SAC) of the Department of Education, presented a welcome speech thanking all the guests and participants present in the workshop. Mr. Robiul Kabir Chowdhury, Senior Specialist, Exam and Evaluation, BEDU, Dhaka Board, and Shamima Akhter, Specialist, Exam and Evaluation, BEDU, Dhaka Board were the two resource persons in the technical session of the workshop. Kazi Mohiuddin, Registrar of Uttara University, Professor A. K. M. Mozammel Haque, Controller of Exam, Dr. Nazrul Islam, Dean, School of Business, Professor Dr. M. Abdus Samad, Dean of School of Science & Engineering, Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdur Rashid, Dean, School of Civil, Environment and Industrial Engineering, Professor Haspia Bashirullah, Dean, School of Arts and Social Sciences and a number of Chairpersons and faculty members from different departments of the university and some principlals and Headmasters of selected colleges and schools were present in the workshop.
