I am delighted to learn that the 1st Convocation of Uttara University is
going to be held on March 1, 2009.
Convocation is a solemn occasion that formally acknowledges the achievement
of the graduates and providesample opportunities to evaluate the activities of
the university. Bangladesh needs huge skilled human resources to build a
happy and prosperous country. Universities, both public and private, have
great role in imparting quality education to the students so that they can face
the global challenges confidently. I belleve the graduates of this university
would demonstrate their highest degree of honesty and sincerity throughout
their life. I wish the graduates a bright future.
I also extend my heartfelt congratulations to the graduating students, their
parents and the University authority on their collective endeavour to materialise
this eventa reality.

I am very pleased to know that Uttara University is going to celebrate their 1st Convocation on March 1, 2009. A
convocation is the testimony of achievements and progress of a university. It acknowledges and proclaims the success and
accomplishments of students. They derive tremendous inspiration from such an event. It helps to boost their selfconfidence as their achievements are recognized formally in this ceremony. I hope the students of Uttara University will
devote themselves to many different activities for their family, society and country. And, through this process, I believe,
they will prove to the competent and worthy citizens of Bangladesh.
A convocation in a university is truly a major event organized by students, teachers and officials who relentlessly work
towards a high target of total success. I would like to thank them from of the bottom of my heart. I would also like to
thank the parents and guardians who have through their financial and emotional support enabled their sons and
daughters to make their dreams come true.

I welcome the 1st convocation of Uttara University on 01 March 2009. I extend my congratulations to the graduating
students, university teaching faculty, staff, parents and guardians on this festive occasion.
Convocation is a special event in the life of graduating students. This is the day for which university students keep
waiting eagerly all through their student life. On this festive day they are awarded ceremoniously their degrees, which
they have earned through their hard work and perseverance. This awarding ceremony is a way to recognize their academic
achievements, and it is certain to inspire them to put to the best constructive use of their potential talents and powers for
the economic and social development of the country.
Uttara University is one of the fastest growing universities in Bangladesh, and we are convinced that the authority takes a
keen interest and pride in its infrastructural development along with the expansion of different academic programs.
We ought to congratulate Uttara University for developing the scope of low-cost quality education in the competive
academic world. I firmly believe that the young graduates from this university will be able to confront the challenges of
the 21s century with their in-depth and innovative knowledge.

A convocation is one of the major events in a university, and to the graduating students, it is a landmark which marks the
successful completion of their studies at the university. From the day of the convocation, the graduates envision a bright
and prosperous career for themselves and accordingly get ready to face the manifold challenges of the wider world
outside.
