I am happy to know that the 4 Convocation of Uttara University is going to be held on 05 January
2016 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in Dhaka.
The role of universities in human civilization is immensely significant. A modern nation is learned,
enlightened and intellectually liberated by the universities. The government of Bangladesh has formulated National Education Policy 2010 and enacted
Private University Act 2010, in order to ensure the quality of education from primary to tertiary level with a view to making a knowledge-based society.
I believe universities, both private and public, would devote themselves in building an educated and affluent nation. It is true for Bangladesh that only
public universities cannot provide the opportunity of higher studies for the large number of students each year. That’s why private universities have a
chance to prove their worth in the field of higher education.
Convocation formally acknowledges the achievements of
the graduating students and at the same time it bestows responsibilities upon them. I hope that the graduating students of Uttara University would serve
the nation imbued with the spirit of patriotism and dedication.
I wish the 4 Convocation of Uttara University a grand success.
Khoda Hafez, May Bangladesh Live Forever.

achieve a self-sufficient, progressive, highly professional and skilled nation by 2021, the Golden

The fresh graduates, I hope, with their acquired knowledge, skill and commitment will definitely be
able to face the challenges of the present century and thus contribute immensely to build a

It gives me immense pleasure to know that Uttara University is going to celebrate its
4th Convocation on 05 January 2016. On this august moment, I congratulate all the graduates, teachers and guardians.
In any society, the pursuit of education enhances and broadens the intellectual horizons of
the citizenry. Higher institutes of learning like the universities help the advancement of new ideas, promote enduring knowledge, assist in
inculcation of appropriate moral and ethical values among the students, and sponsor academic excellence and perfection. I am sure Uttara
University has been maintaining a high standard in its academic undertakings at an affordable tuition.
