This is for information for all concerned that the university authority has appointed Mr. Sheikh Yasha Shan, Lecturer, Department of Islamic Studies as the Director, Institutional Ranking Cell (IRC) at Uttara University. He will be accountable directly to the appointing authority, Vice Chancellor and the Board of Trustees.

As the Director of the Institutional Ranking Cell (IRC), he will perform the following responsibilities:

Ranking Strategy Development: Developing a comprehensive strategy to improve the university’s ranking position in various national and international rankings.

Data Collection and Analysis: Gathering relevant data required for ranking submissions and analysis, including academic performance metrics, research output, faculty credentials, student achievements, etc.

Coordination with Departments: Working closely with different departments of the university and faculties to ensure accurate data collection and to implement initiatives that enhance ranking criteria.

Bench marking and Comparative Analysis: Conduct bench marking exercises against peer institutions to identify areas for improvement and best practices in achieving higher rankings.

Submission Preparation: Coordinating the preparation and submission of ranking surveys, questionnaires, and reports to ranking agencies within deadlines.

Policy and Procedure Development: Developing policies and procedures related to ranking submissions, data integrity, and compliance with international ranking agency guidelines etc.

This order will be effective from 15.07.2024 (forenoon) until further notice.
