Dean's Message

Welcome to the School of Science and Engineering (SSE), Uttara University. More than ever, Science and Engineering have become an integral part of our lives today, reshaping the way we study, work and live. Here at UU School of Science And Engineering, we prepare our undergraduate and graduate students through updated curricula, co- and extra-curricular activities and new initiatives to fulfil the demands of the modern industrial revolutions. Our vision is to transform our School into a top-notch Center of Excellence that would enormously contribute to a better digital society and economy.

Started in 2003, today the SSE comprises four prestigious Departments – Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Dept. of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE), Dept. of Mathematics and Dept. of Physics. While CSE has become a renowned department attracting a large number of talented students and preparing them with industry-driven curricula, advanced teaching-learning methods and inspiring research initiatives, EEE has become a hub of education, research and innovation with breakthroughs in the fields of Clean Energy, Industrial Robotics, IoT and Embedded Systems, producing competent graduates for future techno-societies. On the other hand, the Departments of Mathematics and Physics are focused on fundamental study and research in the modern fields of Mathematics, Science and Technology, fostering both faculty members and students to excel in fundamental and multidisciplinary research initiatives.

As the Dean of the School, I am here to strengthen our research initiatives, expand our collaborations with industry leaders, and further enhance our curricula to reflect the latest advancements in Science, Engineering and technology. Our goal is to equip our students with the skills and knowledge necessary to lead the way in addressing the complex challenges of our time.

I strongly believe that the school will continue to progress in education, research, and innovation. Let us all - faculty, staff, students and alumni – work together to advance our academic and research reputation, enhance student and alumni achievements, and expand our social responsibilities for the society and the world we live in.

Associate Dean’s Message
