I am happy to know that the 4 Convocation of Uttara University is going to be held on 05 January
2016 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in Dhaka.
The role of universities in human civilization is immensely significant. A modern nation is learned,
enlightened and intellectually liberated by the universities. The government of Bangladesh has formulated National Education Policy 2010 and enacted
Private University Act 2010, in order to ensure the quality of education from primary to tertiary level with a view to making a knowledge-based society.
I believe universities, both private and public, would devote themselves in building an educated and affluent nation. It is true for Bangladesh that only
public universities cannot provide the opportunity of higher studies for the large number of students each year. That’s why private universities have a
chance to prove their worth in the field of higher education.
Convocation formally acknowledges the achievements of
the graduating students and at the same time it bestows responsibilities upon them. I hope that the graduating students of Uttara University would serve
the nation imbued with the spirit of patriotism and dedication.
I wish the 4 Convocation of Uttara University a grand success.

I am grateful to the Almighty and immensely pleased to be able to organize the
4th Convocation of Uttara University on 05 January 2016 with the kind permission of the Government and the earnest cooperation of
my colleagues and officials including faculties and staff members.
The Convocation is the noblest occasion through which the students achieve their
rewards for successful completion of their studies. I believe that the graduating students are prepared to face the challenges of
today’s dynamic and fast changing world. I hope the students of Uttara University will contribute to the national development
through their endeavors.
Since its inception, the university has steadily been progressing by keeping in
view the motto of quality education at affordable tuition. In the meantime, we have managed to shift the university to its
permanent campus which will hopefully be completed sooner than we expected. For imparting quality education, some concrete
steps have already been taken. The university has also arranged a few national and international conferences for wider
exposure of the faculties.
Finally, I convey my warmest felicitations to the graduates and thank the guardians
for their cooperation. We are a selfless service-oriented institution. Let us serve the nation by providing our best effort by
Uttara University.
I wish all the students the very best in their future life.

It is a great pleasure for us that Uttara University is going to celebrate its 4th
Convocation on 5 January, 2016 as part of the regular process of conferring degrees to the graduating students through the state’s
approval. I consider it to be a new feather to the crown of success of the University.
Uttara University in its short period of journey has already earned its name and fame at
home and abroad for providing quality education at affordable tuition. The graduates after receiving their degrees will be able, as I strongly
believe, to expose their geniuses in their professional and individual lives using their achieved knowledge, manners and education, and thus they
will contribute to the developments of social, political and cultural affairs of the state as well as the whole universe.
I congratulate the graduating students and their parents, and thank all faculties, officers and staff
of this university who have made a joint effort to build up this university as a fast growing private institution in Bangladesh. I feel proud to say
that we have produced hundreds of graduates who will contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.
