This is for information of all concerned that the university authority has appointed Dr. Md Faruk Hossain, Assistant Professor, Dept of Law as an Associate Director, Office of the Students Affairs, UU for development and management of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and the students’ welfare affairs of this university. Responsibilities of Associate Director, Office of the Students Affairs are as follows:

1. Organize Games & Sports, Cultural Programs, Debate Competitions, Olympiads, Events, Programming Contests and other Intra & Inter-University Programs of the students and formulate a policy for these activities;

2. Form Central and Departmental Clubs for the students of UU, such as Sports Club, Cultural Club, Debating Club, Blood Donors’ Club, Social Service Club, Business Club etc. to activate the extra-curricular activities of the students;

3. Organize and establish Central Alumni and Department based Alumni Association and establish connection with them;

4. Students’ counseling, guidance and welfare related activities.

5. Establish link and relationship with Corporate Houses and Social Organizations;

6. Organize programs for celebrating National Days and other Days of the year;

7. Deal with all students related matters of the university;

8. Frame Rules and Regulations and Modus of Operandi for the above activities of the students;

9. Work in coordination and consultation with the Dean, Chairman, Proctorial, Administrative Authority, Director (Students Affairs) and other Bodies of the university.

All concerned are requested to co-operate and communicate with the newly appointed Associate Director, OSA regarding the above-mentioned students’ welfare affairs of this university.

This order will take effect from 13 November 2024 and will remain in force until further order.

The above decision has been taken for the greater interest of Uttara University.
