The School of Business at Uttara University hosted an exciting and vibrant Freshers’ Reception on November 14, 2024, marking the beginning of a new academic journey for incoming students. The event was significant, welcoming the freshmen while highlighting the university’s dedication to academic excellence and holistic student development.

The reception was graced by a distinguished group of guests, including Prof. Dr Eaysmin Ara Lekha, Vice Chancellor of Uttara University; Prof. Dr Gour Gobinda Goswami, Pro Vice-Chancellor; and Prof. Dr A.S.M. Shahabuddin, Dean of the School of Business. These esteemed leaders addressed the gathering with inspiring speeches, offering guidance and encouragement to the new students.

In her speech, Prof. Dr Eaysmin Ara Lekha, Vice Chancellor, motivated the students to strive for excellence in both academics and extracurricular activities, urging them to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset. She emphasized that the university provides ample opportunities to cultivate innovation and leadership, encouraging the students to take bold steps towards becoming future entrepreneurs. Similarly, Prof. Dr Gour Gobinda Goswami, Pro Vice Chancellor, encouraged the students to explore diverse opportunities for personal and academic growth, focusing on the importance of entrepreneurship in today’s world.

The event was also attended by Dr Mohammad Zahidul Islam, Assistant Professor and Director of the MBA & EMBA Programs; Dr Soeb Md Shoayeb Noman, Assistant Professor and Director of the BBA Program; and Kazi Tareq Ullah, Associate Professor of the School of Business and Director of the Office of Admissions, Uttara University.

Their presence added to the event’s significance, reinforcing the university’s commitment to providing students with a comprehensive education combining academic rigour and real-world skills. Additionally, all faculty members of the School of Business were present, demonstrating the collective support of the academic community in fostering the success and growth of the students.
