On April 30, 2025, the Office of External Affairs at Uttara University successfully organized a seminar titled “Bridging the Gap: Essential Employability Skills for the 21st Century Workplace” at the Seminar Hall, Room 200. The event aimed to equip students with the skills and insights needed to thrive in the modern job market.

The seminar began with an opening speech by Kazi Tareq Ullah, Associate Professor and Dean of the School of Business, who emphasized the importance of skill development. This was followed by brief speeches from Dr. Saleh Ahmed, Associate Professor and Associate Director of CRT, and Dr. Soeb Md Shoayeb Noman, Associate Professor and Director of the BBA Program. Both speakers highlighted the university’s commitment to student development and preparing graduates for real-world success.

The keynote session was delivered by Mr. Mohammad Morad Hossain, CHRO and Board Secretary of Elite Paint Group of Companies. Drawing from his journey—from Marine officer to corporate leader—Mr. Hossain provided valuable advice on essential employability skills, resume writing, and interview strategies. His motivational insights and practical guidance kept students thoroughly engaged.

The event concluded with a closing speech by Mr. Mohammad Ali, Controller of Examinations and In-charge of the Office of External Affairs, who expressed gratitude to all participants. Certificates were awarded to registered attendees, and a crest of appreciation was presented to Mr. Hossain in recognition of his valuable contribution.

The seminar saw enthusiastic student participation and reaffirmed the Office of External Affairs’ dedication to career-oriented student development initiatives.
