A Siraat seminar and cultural program were held at Uttara University to celebrate Siraat-un-Nabi (SA) 2024. The event took place on October 16, 2024, Wednesday, at the university’s permanent campus.
Sheikh Ahmadullah, Chairman of As-Sunnah Foundation; Professor Mokhter Ahmad, Founder Chairman of Tarbiyah Education Network; and Mufti Saiful Islam, Imam of Masjid Ut-Taqwa Society spoke in the seminar as guest of honor.
Speakers emphasized the importance of implementing the principles of the Prophet (SA), stating that true liberation for humanity lies in following the path shown by him. They noted that the purpose of sending all Prophets and Messengers was to establish Islamic principles in contrast to all other ideologies. They stated that Islam is the only ideal for human liberation and that the Prophet (SA) demonstrated the practical application of this ideal.
After the discussion, crests were presented to the distinguished guests at the Siraat event. The program ended with a closing statement of gratitude by Dr. Mostafa Kabir Siddiqui, Assistant Professor in the Islamic Studies Department (UU). The second part of the event featured a delightful cultural program organized by the band ‘Silsila’ from Dhaka University, where the students enjoyed Islamic songs and qawwali performances.
