Delegates from Uttara University (UU) actively participated in the prestigious QS China Summit 2025, held from April 9–10 at the Shangri-La in Chengdu, China. Themed “Navigating New Pathways: Education and Innovation in China and Beyond,” the summit gathered academic leaders, policymakers and institutional representatives from around the world to explore the future of global higher education and collaborative innovation. UU’s esteemed Board of Trustees member and Sheikh Yasha Shan, Director (IRC), represented Uttara University (UU) at the QS China Summit 2025.

Representing UU’s commitment to internationalization, the delegation focused on strengthening global partnerships through strategic collaborations that promote academic exchange, research development, and intercultural learning. Key areas of engagement included student mobility programs, joint research initiatives, and dual degree offerings that aim to provide students with rich, global academic experiences.

Uttara University also advanced discussions on signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with several international institutions. These agreements will formalise cooperative efforts in diverse academic and research domains, paving the way for impactful and sustainable partnerships. Highlighting opportunities for UU students, the delegation emphasized international study programs such as 2+2, 3+1, and double-degree initiatives, enabling students to complete part of their coursework abroad at partner institutions. These programs are designed to broaden academic perspectives and prepare graduates for a competitive global job market.
