On November 19, Uttara University hosted a workshop titled “Growth Mindset: The Fuel for Entrepreneurial Innovation,” aimed at equipping students with the knowledge and tools to explore entrepreneurship. Organized by the Innovation and Incubation Program in collaboration with Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) Bangladesh, the workshop was led by Md. Abir Ul Islam, Chief Facilitator of GEN Bangladesh. He emphasized how adopting a growth mindset can unlock entrepreneurial potential and foster innovation in both personal and professional domains. Participants were encouraged to embrace challenges and view failures as stepping stones to success.
The event featured distinguished guests, including Mr Kazi Tareq Ullah, Acting Dean of the School of Business; Dr A S M Shahabuddin, Director of IQAC; Dr Soeb Md Shoayeb Noman, Director of the BBA Program; and Dr Mohammad Zahidul Islam, Director of the MBA Program.
A key focus was equipping students with essential entrepreneurial skills. Attendees learned techniques for identifying market needs, building business models, and pitching ideas effectively. The workshop emphasized the importance of adaptability, creativity, and leveraging technology to streamline operations and amplify impact in modern entrepreneurship.
Interactive sessions engaged participants in teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Students mapped personalized learning pathways to refine their entrepreneurial ambitions. A highlight of the event was a hands-on project session where students developed and presented idea profiles for potential ventures, gaining valuable feedback from mentors and peers.
