A pioneering effort towards BAC accreditation has been undertaken by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Uttara University. IQAC-UU convened a deliberation session on Thursday, April 18, 2024, with the Programme Self-Assessment Committees representing each department at Uttara University. During this session, two faculty members who had previously received training delivered presentations on critical accreditation criteria: Kazi Tareq Ullah, Chairman of the BBA Department, and Dr. Saifullah Sadi, Chairman of the CSE Department at Uttara University. In addition, they deliberated on the merits and drawbacks of engineering and non-engineering programmes offered at Uttara University, as well as the means by which these drawbacks could be surmounted. The entire session was presided over by the Director of IQAC, Prof. Dr. ASM Shahabuddin, with the active participation of two additional directors of IQAC-UU, Md. Sharif Hossain and Dr. Shoayeb Noman. The programme was attended by the deans of all five schools and all fourteen department chairs.
