News&Events

The Department of Law at Uttara University organized the Dean’s Honor Certificate awarding ceremony on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, this event was held university-wide, with students from all the departments gathering to celebrate their achievements. However, due to an overwhelming number of awardees this year, the faculty members of the law department decided to hold the program. And so the stage was set to showcase its jewels.

In a particular year, students earning a CGPA of 3.75–4.00 are placed on the Dean’s Honor List. For the spring, summer, and fall 2021 semesters, 36 students of the Law Department were placed in the Dean’s Honor.

The event was graced by the presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Atiqur Rahman, Chairperson, Department of Law, Uttara University, along with other honorable faculty members of the law department. The Chair of the department congratulated the awardees on their achievement and wished them a bright future.

Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Faruque Munshi spoke on the occasion, asking those on the dean’s honor roll to retain their position and those who did not achieve it to aim for the dean’s honor. Among the awardees, two students delivered their speeches, paying thanks and gratitude to all the teachers whose tireless guidance and efforts made this possible. They also thanked the authority of Uttara University for setting up such a wonderful program.

Finally, the winners of the dean’s honor received their certificates from the chairman of the law department at Uttara University. Following the ceremony, all the faculty members captured the proud moment in photos with the awardees.
