“Creating Legacy in Times of Crisis” was the title of Inspiration Economy International Conference. It was organized by the International Institute of Inspiration Economy and held at The Grove Hotel in the Kingdom of Bahrain during 3-4 February 2020. The conference was followed by two days workshop (5-6 February 2020) which attempted to sharpen the capacity of the participants so that they can work towards creating a legacy. Around 150 delegates from 28 countries attended the conference and the workshop.

Prof. ASM Shahabuddin, Dean, School of Business, Uttara University was invited with sponsorship by Dr. Mohamed Buheji, Founder of IIEP & President of IE Conference 2020- Bahrain. Prof. Shahabuddin’s presentation on “Innovative Use of Optional Charity in Business” has sparked interest among the conference attendees especially from Bahrain, Libya, and Sri Lanka. He was interviewed by Bahrain TV on the first day of the conference. Dr. Mohamed Buheji expects to strengthen his ties with Prof. Shahabuddin and his team, and hope that a productive collaborative relationship with Uttara University will unfold through Inspiration Lab workshops and Inspiration Economy projects.
