Dhaka, 20th March 2024 – Uttara University proudly hosted a significant event organized by the M. Azizur Rahman Library on 19th March 2024. Titled "A Discussion Meeting on the Celebration of the Birthday of Bangabandhu & Prize Giving Ceremony of The Reading Competition on 'The Unfinished Memoirs'," the program brought together esteemed guests, faculty members, and students to commemorate the legacy of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and recognize literary excellence.

Held at the university's Conference Room 1, the event was graced by distinguished individuals, including Capt. A B Tajul Islam (Retd), Parliament Member for Brahmanbaria-6. Capt. A B Tajul Islam, also the chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Liberation War Ministry and a former state minister for liberation war affairs, served as the Chief Guest for the occasion. His insightful remarks shed light on the significance of Bangabandhu's contributions to the nation, resonating with the audience.

One of the highlights of the program was the main discussion on Bangabandhu's legacy, led by Prof. Dr. Gour Gobinda Goswami, the Pro-vice Chancellor of Uttara University. Prof. Dr. Goswami's profound insights and scholarly perspective provided attendees with a deeper understanding of Bangabandhu's visionary leadership and enduring impact on the country.

Additionally, the program included the Prize Giving Ceremony of The Reading Competition on 'The Unfinished Memoirs,' organized by M. Azizur Rahman Library. This competition aimed to promote literary engagement and foster a culture of reading among students. Prof. Dr. Eaysmin Ara Lekha, the Vice Chancellor of Uttara University, served as the Program Chair, further enhancing the significance of the event.

Nur Ahammad, Joint Librarian of M. Azizur Rahman Library, delivered a warm and heartfelt welcome speech, setting the tone for the event and expressing gratitude to all attendees for their participation.
