BA (Hons) in English
The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English provides a strong background in the study of English. The program stresses literary analysis, diversity, critical thinking, and written and oral communication skills through rigorous literature, composition, language and linguistics, and communication studies. The Bachelor of Arts in English is a four-year program of 8 (eight) semesters. Students will be required to complete 141 credits comprising 45 courses (135 credits) and 4 (four) Viva-Voce (6 credits). Courses are designed to develop an understanding of language, culture and society, with special emphasis on various theoretical literature approaches.

The program is open to graduates holding either a 4-year BA in English degree or a 3-year Bachelor's in English or from other disciplines, with additional foundation courses required for the latter group. Offered in two modes, Coursework and mixed method, the MA program's duration ranges from one to three years, depending on the mode of study. Students with a 4-year BA in English must complete either 41 credits (by Coursework) or 40 credits (by Mixed-mode), while those with a 3-year BA must complete either 64 credits (by Mixed-mode) or 65 credits (by Coursework).
